Bear Hill Advisory Group was formed in 2009 by Jack P. Healey feeding his passion to help businesses who are tackling difficult business problems. He leveraged his 16 years’ experience as an Assurance Partner in a CPA firm and 12 years as the EVP, Corporate Secretary, as as operational CFO of a highly acquisitive public company to identify the main drivers of success for a business enterprise. Using the skills acquired, lessons learned and a national network of professionals, he understands business transformation and how businesses operate and communicate.
He realized that most businesses could resolve their business issues if they learned to recognize problems early enough to address the root cause. In 2010 he developed the Business Risk Diagnostic Model™ which assigned attributes to the development of risks from inception through loss of control.
Core to Bear Hill Advisory Group is the ability to help the people and organizations which we come in contact. It is not enough to provide ‘services’ to our clients, we strive to achieve sustainable and repeatable results. We only work with organizations who are open to change and who need our expertise. Jack is an executive with 40 years of leadership experience.
A career which started with one of the ‘big four’ accounting
firms, he later became Partner in Charge of Assurance Services
for a regional CPA firm. After 16 years in public accounting he
was one of the founders of a ‘roll up’ of specialty industrial distributors. The group merged nine specialty distributors and simultaneously initiated going public transaction on the NYSE; which funded an aggressive acquisition and growth strategy. Building a SOX compliant financial organization, assuming many of the duties normally assigned to a COO and being part of a tremendous management team afforded the learning experience of a life-time. After 12 years the company was sold in a ‘going private’ transaction. In 2009, Mr. Healey formed Bear Hill Advisory Group a firm dedicated to assisting organizations improve processes, manage risks and embed resiliency into their business governance and operations. He graduated Magna Cum Laude, Beta Gamma Sigma from Syracuse University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified in Risk Information and System Control.
