45 years of judgment, now built into a teachable framework.

The Path

Jack Healey spent his career in the room when it mattered most. Sixteen years in public accounting, rising to Partner in Charge of Assurance Services. Then EVP, CFO, and Corporate Secretary of a publicly traded company, helping lead it through a "roll up" of nine specialty distributors that merged and went public on the NYSE, eventually acquiring 64 legal entities. As acting COO, his responsibility extended well beyond the finance function — HR, IT, Real Estate, Risk, and Facilities all reported through him, the kind of full-enterprise operating experience most CFOs never get the chance to build. Since 2019, he's advised acquisitive and turnaround organizations through the moments that make or break a leadership team — negotiating, closing, or participating in over 150 acquisitions along the way, and training formally in negotiations, crisis management, cyber risk, and board fundamentals.

Along the way, something else happened: he never stopped mentoring. Thirty years of guiding college students toward their next chapter, alongside four decades of guiding executives through theirs.

Now, Jack is in what he calls his "give back" years, Jack has made a deliberate choice: no more hands-on engagements. Everything he learned the hard way — the audits, the acquisitions, the crises, the boardrooms — now goes into one thing: teaching it to the CFOs who need it, and the PE firms who depend on them.

Credentials & Education

Certifications: CFE, CPA, CFF, CRISC | Education: Magna cum laude, Syracuse University (Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi) | Memberships: ACFE, AICPA, InfraGard, ISACA, RIMS, CFO Leadership Council

Board & Governance Experience

For twelve years, Jack served as Corporate Secretary of a NYSE and NASDAQ listed public company — drafting the agenda for every board meeting and ensuring compliance with exchange rules. He has been a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) for over twenty years, and has served on both public and private company boards.

That governance experience shapes how he teaches: not as theory, but as a former practitioner who has sat on both sides of the boardroom table.

Frameworks & Contributions

Jack is the architect of the Business Crisis Diagnostic and Prevention Model™ and a contributor to the Velocity of Risk (VoR™) Project. That same instinct for turning hard-won experience into practical frameworks led directly to the Chaos to Confidence™ program and its 12 disciplines.
